Hitting all streaming platforms today, Sean Rodriguez delivers his most personal release to date with "Jesus Will." An inspirational song through and through, “Jesus Will” encourages each listener that even when there seems like “no end” to life’s most difficult circumstances, “GOD IS WITH YOU STILL!”
The song is the third consecutive release and title track as part of the upcoming Jesus Will EP. The EP, which is planning to culminate this fall or early 2025, will feature all new tracks from Sean Rodriguez. Recent new releases include "House of God" (Jun. 14, 2024) and "Honey" (Apr. 23, 2024), with forthcoming singles "It It Finished" (featuring Disciple) and "Rise" releasing TBA.
Also releasing with the "Jesus Will" single is the official song visual. Shot in a "one take" style, the visual features the song's lyrics as penned in Sean's own handwriting.
“The lyrics in the video are displayed in my handwriting, almost like a personal letter to anyone who needs this message,” Rodriguez shares. “[I believe that] the lines that help capture the essence of the song’s meaning are [from the song's bridge section]: ‘You can’t go back you don’t know how to move on / But you’re still here and He’s still God your story isn’t done / You will bend and you will break / But you will rise in Jesus’ name / Because right here and right now / He is working all things out'.”
"Moments can occur in life that rock and shape us," adds Sean. "That time came in late November [2023] when my Aunt Sirena suddenly died. She gave her life to serving God and being an example of His love—it just wasn't fair," he exclaims.
Taking the rest of last year off, Sean's first songwrite of this year—scheduled to be a Spanish write—organically became the session that birthed "Jesus Will," forming a banner, yet positive requiem for Sean's current season. "The line, 'When we can't battle, JESUS WILL' can change it ALL for so many going through anything at any given time," concludes Sean.
"Jesus Will" drops amid the eponymous summer tour in which fans across the country are currently responding to Sean's new music at shows and festivals in key markets such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Denver, Detroit, Ft. Wayne-South Bend-Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids-Lansing, Omaha, Winnipeg, and more.
